Y-bearings with grub screws in the inner ring are locked in position on the shaft by tightening the two cup point hexagonal grub (set) screws, positioned 120� apart. Roll forging is a process where round or flat bar stock is reduced in thickness and increased in length. Roll forging is performed using two cylindrical or semi-cylindrical rolls, each containing one or more shaped grooves. Now this is a big job, not for the feint hearted , you are going to need a little bit of space to work in, but it's going to save you a fortune compared with buying a new machine or calling out an engineer.
